고양이 한 마리를 원하는 주인공은 고양이가 큰 고양이든지, 작은 고양이든지, 뚱뚱한 고양이든지, 야윈 고양이든지 상관이 없다고 합니다. 그냥 고양이면 족하다고 하네요. 그러자 10마리의 고양이들이 " 나를 가져 " 하면서 자신들의 특징을 소개합니다. 그럼 어떤 고양이들이 있는지 한번 살펴 볼까요? 폴짝 뛰어넘고, 달리고, 재미삼아 기어오르는 쾌활한 고양이 도둑이 어슬렁 거릴때 으르렁 거리는 싸움 잘하는 고양이 따뜻한 털을 가지고 있으며 항상 만족스러워하는 편안한 고양이 노래하고 춤출 기회를 달라고 하는 극장에서 공연하는 고양이 낮잠 잘때 무릎에 앉을거라는 나이 많고 뚱뚱한 고양이 포옹과 부드럽고 따뜻한 양탄자가 필요한 외로운 고양이 집에 있는 모든 쥐를 잡을거라는 사냥꾼 고양이 태양이 파란색으로 변할때까지 옆에 있을거라는 다정한 고양이 약간의 생선과 우유를 원하는 배고픈 고양이 괴롭히고 즐겁게 해줄거라는 다루기 힘든 고양이! 과연 주인공은 어떤 고양이를 가지게 될까요? 어린이들이 그린 그림에서 느껴지는 생동감과 자유로움은 그림책을 보는 색다른 재미를 아이와 공감하기에 충분 합니다. 특히, 각 페이지의 문장들은 라임구조를 갖추고 있어서 리듬감 있게 읽어보며 어휘를 확장하기에 좋습니다. 'playful cat', 'cozy cat',.... 과 같은 형용사와 명사의 관계를 자연스럽게 익혀볼 수 있습니다. (제목을 봐. 제목이 뭐지? 그래 cats, cats, cats야) * 책을 읽어주면서 라임이 되는 부분은 손뼉을 치거나 큰 소리로 읽어주세요. 라임이 되는 단어들을 카드로 만들어 놓고 여러번 읽은후에 카드들을 펼쳐놓습니다. 그런후, 엄마가 한장을 뽑아 서 읽은후에 아이가 찾아볼 수 있게 하세요. 처음에는 세개정도로 시작해서 수를 늘려갑니다. - What word rhymes with run? ( run과 라임이되는 단어는 무엇이지?) * 형용사는 무엇이며, 위치에 대해서 설명해주고 책속에서 찾아봅니다. - What's the adjective? (형용사가 뭘까?) - An adjective is a word that describes a noun. ( 형용사는 명사를 꾸며주는 단어야.) - Where do we put the adjective? ( 형용사는 어디에 놓일까?) - The adjective often comes before a noun.( 형용사는 명사앞에 자주 온단다.) * 책을 읽은후에는 아이와 책만들기를 해보세요. - If you want a cat, what kind of cat will you have? Cats, cats, cats. That’s the name of our story and I just don’t understand. I’m a dog man myself. I don’t understand what good is a cat? All they do is lie around, eat and sleep. Why they don’t cuddle, talk, or do anything. But despite that, it’s my job to introduce you to our story for today. As I said, the title of our story is ‘Cats, cats, cats’. And in a few moments, a storyteller will read our book for us. We’ll start from the cover of your book and I want you to follow along with the storyteller, looking at all the pictures and getting yourself familiar with the story. Whenever you here this sound, ‘Diling doong’, I want you to turn the page. All right. Let’s find out about cats. Here we go! 트랙 3 * Narrator reads the story. (본책 내용) 트랙 4 Wow! Boys and girls, I had no idea cats did so many things. Why, I thought cats were more or less like stuffed animals. You know, they just sat or laid around, waiting to be played with. And I’ll say, I was wrong. Cats do a lot of things. So, right now, what do you say we read the story again? One by the group of actors in and play the parts of the various cats and I want you to follow along, reading as many of the words as you can. We’ll also add some music and sound effects to help bring the cats uhhh,uhhh, story to life. This time, we’ll begin from the title page, which is the page just inside of the front cover. Turn there now. You’ll see a picture of a cat in a bag. Isn’t it cute? Anytime you here this sound, [Diling doong], I want you to turn the page. I think cats are pretty nice pets. In fact, I think there’re great! Now boys and girls, since you are such good readers, we’re going to read the story one more time. We’re going to have the help of our actors but this time, you’re going to help perform the story right along with them. I want you to say what is inside of the speech marks. You know what speech marks are? They are the two little marks at the beginning and ending of a sentence that tell us when characters are speaking. Turn to page 4 in your book and I’ll show you what I mean. Okay. On page 4, do you see the two little marks in front of and behind the words ‘have me’? Those are speech marks. And those are the words I want you to say right among with our actors. There are also many other places in our story, where there are speech marks. Okay? Good. We’ll begin again from the title page.
