Track 2 - A Reading of the Story with Turn-the-page Signals
Hello, this is David Hyde Pierce and I'm going to read you a book called If You Give a Pig a Pancake.
You'll know when it's time to turn the page when you hear this sound (pig sound). No, no, just kidding. When you hear this sound (page turn signal). Let's read "If You Give a Pig a Pancake". Shall we?

Track 3, 6 - Flippin' the Flapjacks Interactive Song
That was a very good story. I don't know about you but it put me in the mood for a pancake. I don't happen to have one on hand at the moment so I think I'll close my eyes and imagine a pancake. Would you like to dl that, too? There are so many different kinds of pancakes - I think I'll imagine a nice, big round blueberry pancake. Oh, yes there it is... perfect.
"Flippin' The Flapjacks" song Some people call them pancakes, Some people call them hotstacks, Some people call them griddle cakes, Me, I call them flapjacks. No matter what you call them, Here's a little tip, When they're done on one side, All you've got to do is flip.
Making pancakes is easy. You can even use a mix. The tricky part is flipping them over. It takes a lot of practice. Why don't we practice right now? Turn both of your hands palm up, and when I count to three, flip them over so your palms are facing the floor. Ready? Palms up. One, two, three, flip. Very good. Now, when you hear the flipping sound, flip your flapjacks along with me, OK?
Some people call them pancakes, Some people call them hotstacks, Some people call them griddle cakes, Me, I call them flapjacks. No matter what you call them, Here's a little tip, When they're done on one side, All you've got to do is flip.
Flippin' the flapjacks, flippin' the flapjacks, flippin' the flapjacks, Flip-flip-flippin' the flapjacks.
Now that you're such expert flapjack flippers, let's try something a little more challenging.
Flip them high, Flip them low, Flip them fast, Flip them slow, Flip them front, Flip them back, Now you're flippin' the flapjacks.
Flippin' the flapjacks, flippin' the flapjacks, flippin' the flapjacks, Flip-flip-flippin' the flapjacks.
Some people like them golden, Some people like them brown, Some people pour on syrup, Until those flapjacks drown. No matter how you like them, Here's a little tip, When they're done on one side, All you've got to do is flip.
Yeah.
I'm completely exhausted. It takes a lot of energy to flip all those flapjacks. Felicia Bond who drew the pictures for "If You Give a Pig a Pancake" must have needed a lot of energy because she says she drew the pig around thirty times before she finally found just the right look for her. Laura Numeroff, who wrote the book is already hard at work on more books and she says she doesn't think she'll ever run out of ideas.
*Track 4, 7 - The Piggy Polka Song
Now, I've got an important question for you. Do you know your right foot from your left foot? We're going to be doing a dance in a minute and you're definitely going to want to know which is which. Here's a hint - your left foot is on the same side of your body as your left hand. If you need a bigger hint, you can take a piece of paper. Make a letter "L" on it and stick it on the toe of your left shoe. Trust me, it really helps. So, are you ready to do the Piggy Polka?
"The Piggy Polka" song This dance is very simple, I'll tell you what to do, We'll start off very slowly, And speed up when we're through. Step right, left, right, Then left, right, left, That's all there is to it. Right, left, right, Then left, right, left, Ready, set, let's do it.
You don't have to have a tail, Famous for its curl, Or little hooves that clickety-clack, Every time you twirl. You don't have to have a snout, A simple nose will do. Just grab yourself a partner, This dance is made for two.
Oh, do The Piggy Polka all around the room, If you don't have a partner try dancing with a broom. It's called The Piggy Polka, It's lots of fun to do. Now choose another partner, And dance with someone new. Here we go.
Right, left, right, Left, right, left, Right, left, right, Left, right, left, Right, left, right, Left, right, left, Right, left, right, Left, right, left.
You don't have to roll in mud, Or walk on all four feet. You don't have to oink a lot, Or eat and eat and eat. You don't have to be a pig, You're fine the way you are. So clap your hands together, If you like this dance so far.
Oh, do The Piggy Polka, all around the room, If you don't have a partner try dancing with a broom. It's called The Piggy Polka, It's lots of fun to do. No choose another partner, And dance with someone new. Here we go, Right, left, right, Left, right, left, Right, left, right, Left, right, left, Right, left, right, Left, right, left¡¦.
That was fun, wasn't it? I'll bet you know your right foot from your left foot now. By the way, you can take that piece of paper off your shoe now if you'd like.
