벌써 여름 학기 일곱번째 시간입니다. Review day가 멀지 않았다는 뜻이기도 하지요. (Review day는 매 학기 마지막 시간에 그 동안 배운 라임이나 노래를 하나 혹은 그 이상 정해서 아이와 함께 연습한 후 다른 친구들 앞에서 발표하는 것을 말합니다. )

이번 학기에 전체적으로 라임들이 쉬웠었다는 이야기가 들리던데, 잘 외워가고 계시는지요?

우리 아기가 제일 좋아하는 라임이 무언지, 아기와 함께 외우고 부르면서 특별히 애정이 가는 라임이 무엇인지 생각해 보세요. 웰컴 베이비 라임만 하기 조금 아쉬우신 분들은 그 동안 불렀던 여러 다른 노래들도 한두개 함께 불러 주세요. 저도 신청 용지 작업 들어가겠습니다.     

생일은 아이들에게 일년 중 가장 특별한 날일 꺼예요. 특히나 얼마 전 두번째 생일을 지낸 친구들은 생일에 대해 할 말도 많을 것이고, 생일이 곧 돌아오는 친구들은 이번 라임을 통해서 기대도 더 커질 것 같네요. 돌이건 두돌이건, 생일에 있었던 일을 사진을 보며 함께 이야기도 나눠 보시고, 다음 번 생일에 받고 싶은 선물이나 초대하고 싶은 친구들에 대해 이야기 나누셔도 좋을 것 같습니다. 모든 교육은 내 삶과 직접적인 연관이 있고 생활과 자연스럽게 연결되어야 거부감 없이 온전히 받아들여 진답니다. 영어가 아니어도 상관없으니 엄마 뱃 속에 있었을 때 이야기, 태어날 때 이야기, 어떻게 자라고 변화했는지 등을 가장 편안한 시간에 이야기 나눠보고 오시면 될 것 같습니다.

이번 시간에 배울 라임은 Baby’s birthday, 동화책은 My presents와 Little Gorilla두 편을 함께 읽어보려 합니다.
